About the Artist
Jennah Hart is an abstract painter based in Cheltenham, in the heart of The Cotswolds. Specialising in acrylic and oil paint, she graduated with First Class Honours in Fine Art from Arts University Bournemouth in 2022, where she developed her craft, from stretching her own canvases to refining her distinctive painting techniques.
Hart’s artistic practice is rooted in themes of liminality, the sublime, and the uncanny - concepts that explore the edges of experience and blur the boundaries between beauty and unease. Inspired by the interplay of light and shadow, her paintings evoke surfaces that seem to glow, capturing fleeting moments of emotional resonance. Through layers of paint applied and removed, her work reflects the fragility of memory, where what is lost often lingers as a trace.
By embracing abstraction as a visual language, Hart’s works invite viewers into a shared emotional space. She uses shape, colour, and texture to express ideas and feelings that words cannot, balancing intuitive gestures with deliberate composition. Her painting process is as much about removal as application, often revealing traces of the creative journey embedded in the canvas itself. As a result, Each piece is imbued with depth and complexity.
Working from her home studio in Cheltenham, Hart’s original paintings have been exhibited in several group shows in the UK, including ‘Sold!’ at The Truman Brewery in London.
With a passion for creating emotive and contemplative artworks, she aims to resonate with collectors and art lovers seeking pieces that transcend the ordinary.
