a space between

knowing and feeling

Somewhere between knowing and feeling, Jennah’s paintings unfold – layered, shifting, withholding as much as they reveal. Light does not rest on the surface but seems to emanate from within, bleeding through the strata of paint like a memory surfacing. A calm tension exists between form and dissolution, boundary and boundlessness.

These works act as windows into a place recalled, imagined, dreamed. An undefined space where perception flickers and meaning is not told but felt.

To look is to step into uncertainty, to linger in it, and to embrace what cannot be fully grasped.

Selected Works

A selection of artworks that explore the expressive possibilities of light, colour, and texture, resulting in dynamic abstract pieces that resonate on an emotional level. Abstraction becomes a language of thresholds, fleeting impressions, and quiet revelations.

A collage of sunlit snows and layered textures are woven together through memory in this giclée print.

An abstract exploration of memory and landscape, where cool tones and ethereal forms evoke the quietness of early morning.

Unfolding Ideas

Ideas take shape like shifting light—unfolding, dissolving, reappearing. This blog is a space for exploring those fleeting moments in art and thought.

The first entries explore the origins of the sublime, from its philosophical roots to its presence in Romantic landscapes and abstract expressionism. In time, the blog will expand – writings on liminality, the uncanny, memory, and how these ideas intertwine through art and life. Some posts will reflect on my own work, while others will offer a glimpse into process, from the concept to creation.

For now, it’s just beginning. Stay tuned—there’s more to come.

The Artist Behind the Work

With a Fine Art degree from Arts University Bournemouth, Jennah Hart is an abstract painter based in Cheltenham. Her works emerge from fleeting moments – glimpses of light, shifts in colour, half-remembered textures. Her language of abstraction heightens these impressions, inviting the viewer into a space where connection is sensed, not spoken. Meaning lingers at the edges, felt rather than defined.

FAQs

How do I know if the artwork
will look good in my space?

I recommend checking the dimensions of the artwork and visualising it in your space, considering whether you will frame the piece. The easiest way is to simply tape out an area on your wall.

Do you accept commissions?

I’d love to hear about your vision! I don’t guarantee commissions but I’m open to discussing your ideas to see if I’m the right artist for you. Just send me an email. If I feel like I can bring your vision to life within my style, we’ll go from there and create something unique together. If not, I’ll be honest—because you deserve to end up with a piece you truly love.

How long will it take to receive my artwork?

Prints are shipped directly from my manufacturer using Royal Mail Tracked 24. For original paintings, I aim to ship them within 3 days using Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed, which should arrive the next working day, or Parcelforce Express 24 for larger works.

What materials do you use in your paintings?

I work with a range of high-quality materials, including acrylic and oil paint, oil pastels, and various painting mediums. I use cotton duck canvas and I build sturdy wooden frames, ensuring each piece is built to last.

How do I take care of the artwork?

How to best take care of your artwork varies from piece to piece. For all my artworks, avoid direct sunlight and humidity. You can gently clean acrylic paintings or prints with a dry, soft cloth. Be more careful with oil paintings and oil pastels, as the surface is more prone to fingerprints or smudging.

Do you ship internationally?

At the moment I only ship within the UK. If you’re based abroad, I’m sorry for the inconvenience—I hope to offer international shipping in the future!

Do you sell prints of your paintings?

Yes, I offer fine art prints on both C-Type and Giclée paper. These prints are available in a range of sizes, perfect if you’re looking for a more affordable or space-saving way to own a Jennah Hart original artwork.

Is framing included with the purchase?

I don’t currently offer framing options with my paintings or prints. This way you can choose a frame that best suits your personal style and space. There are plenty of high-street shops that sell quality framing options.

How is the artwork packaged?

I work with a carbon-neutral print manufacturer, and I use as much recycled material as possible when packaging my paintings. This ensures both the artwork and the environment are cared for.
